The main purpose of this questionnaire is so we can learn a little about you and how much you already know about Dachshunds and their needs. We want to be certain that this is the right breed of dog for your family and lifestyle. We’d be happy to give you more information about dachshunds if you wish.

If you’re interested in having one of our puppies please answer the questions as completely as you can and return the information to us.

Have you ever owned a Dachshund before?

Are you looking for a Dachshund as a companion, or to show?

When are you hoping to get a puppy?

Have you ever housetrained a puppy before?

Are you interested in owning a male or female puppy?

If one is not available of that sex, would you be prepared to consider one of the opposite sex?

Do you have a fenced yard, fenced play area or dog-run?

Will you be prepared to purchase a crate for your puppy?

Do you own your home?

If renting, do you have your Landlords permission to have pets?

Have you owned a dog before, if so what breed?

At present, do you have any pets?

Are your pets neutered or spayed?

Do you work outside the home?

If you’re not home during the day, how many hours a day would the puppy be left alone?

Would you be able to arrange for someone to feed, water, exercise, and play with the puppy while you’re out?

Who in your household would be responsible for looking after a puppy? (feeding training, walking)

Are there children living in your home? How many? What is the age of each child?

Have you ever returned a dog to it’s breeder? If yes, please explain the reason.

Have you ever given a pet away? If so, please explain the circumstances.

Have you ever given up a pet to a pound or shelter? If so please explain the reason.

Are any members of your household allergic to animals?
